Now Hiring a speech-language pathologist with singing voice experience!

We are hiring a speech-language pathologist with singing voice experience. Join our vibrant practice to help people find voices they love! We will fully train in gender affirming voice care- no experience in GAVC is necessary.

What will the position look like?

  • Full time (average 26 sessions weekly)

  • Position involves seeing clients virtually one-on-one, completing time-optimized clinical documentation and billing, and co-leading a group once a month. That’s it- it’s a pretty sweet job!

  • Caseload will be predominantly gender affirming voice singing and speaking voice. Some of these clients will also have voice, articulation, fluency, or swallowing disorders, want accent modification, or are also pursuing gender affirming voice surgery. A minority of clients seek treatment for selective mutism or voice disorders, singing voice, or are seeking self-directed, neurodivergent affirming executive functioning therapy, without wanting GAVC. Mostly adults, some teens. 

  • If you’re excited about offering a different therapy in addition to gender affirming voice care that is relevant to our clients, we’ll support you with that!

Applicants with the following qualities are encouraged to apply:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including being comfortable initiating communication and proactively asking for assistance when needed. 

  • Motivated to learn and help the gender diverse community. Applicants with TGNC community experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Comfortable counseling clients through voice dysphoria. This position requires a lot of patience, empathy, and compassion. 

  • Reliable, organized, and good time management skills. Demonstrated history of completing documentation on time and reliably showing up for scheduled appointments. Able to accept and adapt to constructive feedback.

  • Able to work autonomously / independently with little direction once trained. 

  • Singing voice experience is required, voice therapy experience is appreciated

  • We have SLPs all over the country, you must be licensed in your state of residence and the state of Texas. For the right candidate, we may hold the position for you to obtain Texas licensure. 

  • ASHA CCCs, and completion of your clinical fellowship year.

  • You determine the session length. Evaluations average 75 minutes, and voice therapy averages 46 minutes. Sessions are scheduled with a minimum of 14 minutes in between to allow time for documentation.
